Archisatire. Una controstoria dell'architettura

È possibile guardare alla solennità dell’architettura attraverso la leggerezza di una risata? Che cosa succede se alla gravitas del costruire affianchiamo la satira, l’umorismo e l’ironia? Scegliendo una prospettiva anticonvenzionale, la mostra propone una «controstoria» dell’architettura composta dalle tante immagini satiriche e umoristiche che negli ultimi secoli hanno commentato le trasformazioni architettoniche e urbane in maniera originale e irriverente: caricature, vignette, cartoons, fotomontaggi, a cui si aggiungono brani di filmati, e altre forme d’espressione.

Is it possible to observe the solemnity of architecture through the lightness of a laugh? What happens if, alongside the gravitas of building, we introduce satire, humour and irony? Taking an unconventional perspective, the exhibition proposes a “counter-history” of architecture, composed of the many satirical and humorous images that have commented on the architectural and urban transformations in original and irreverent ways over the last few centuries: caricatures, vignettes, photomontage as well as films, animated films, and other forms of expression.
